Brighton
Here’s a teeny weeny snapshot of places serving up and selling lovely vegan food in Brighton.
Purezza - The UK’s first plant based Italian restaurant with loaded vegan pizzas and pasta dishes as well as a “cheese” board and a lovely range of desserts (chocolate calzone anyone?!) It’s not exactly cheap but if you’re looking for high quality food for a special occasion, it’s perfect.
Loving Hut (X 2) - This award-winning chain has not one but TWO eateries in Brighton. Dishing up everything from Vietnamese/Asian dishes to all-day breakfasts, burgers and “fish” and chips, it’s a great place to get reasonably priced vegan fare with enough options for everyone.
VBites Café (& Shop) - You may have already seen VBites’ meat/fish-free products in your local Holland & Barrett, but you might not have known about its café and in-house shop! Buy VBites products and other vegan food/drink items and then sit down for hot dogs, pizza, breakfasts, wraps OR a Sunday roast. Yay!
Rootcandi - 100% plant-based street food style menu! Flavourful broths, bao buns, stir-fries, gyozas, curries and much more are all at your hungry feet. It’s reasonably priced and their lunchtime offer of 3 dishes for £9.99 is great!
Infinity Foods (Health Food Shop) - Stock up on VioLife/Bute Island cheese and Follow Your Heart salad dressings or treat yourself to Eat Real’s white cheddar flavour quinoa puffs (hello vegan Wotsists!) It’s not strictly a vegan shop but they stock plenty of vegan goodies and not only food but also health, beauty & household products.
