C:/ Side Quest - Café Review
As many of you will know, Brighton is one of the best cities in the UK for vegan food, with a huge variety of vegan shops and cafes. So, when I went to visit for the weekend, I was super excited to try out some new places to eat.
I have to say, when my friends decided on C:/side quest, a gaming café on the seafront, I was slightly reluctant as it isn’t vegan or veggie and I didn’t know if I’d find anything to eat. I was so wrong!
The café is situated right on the beach and is packed with all kinds of different games including consoles (old and new), classic arcade games and over 70 board games that were all free to play! Straight away we got stuck into a game of cluedo whilst deciding what to eat.
The menu is only small, but for almost every meal, there was a vegan alternative which I was really impressed with. I decided to have BBQ jackfruit loaded fries which were delicious, and my friend also decided to go for a vegan option with the crispy chilli seitan baguette!
After we’d finished, I realised that there was a selection of doughnuts and pastries on the counter. I went to have a look and saw that there was a vegan biscoff doughnut! Obviously I had to try it! It was a great dessert, accompanied by an oat milk cappuccino (they also had soya milk).
Overall, I was so impressed with the vegan options at C:/side quest. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating and the café has a great, fun atmosphere. I will definitely be returning!
