World Milk Day
Today is World Milk Day and I just wanted to do a post about all the different dairy-free milks and brands that are now available. We really are spoilt for choice these days!
We used to think it was amazing if coffee shops had soya milk, but now all the chain coffee shops seem to have 2 or 3 vegan milk options - times are constantly changing and more options seem to be available everyday!

Here are some of the vegan milks currently available: (and I'm sure I've missed some)
Soya
Almond
Oat
Rice
Coconut
Quinoa
Hemp
Peanut
Hazelnut
Cashew
Flax
Pea (yes, pea!)
In almost all major supermarkets you will be able to find Soya, Almond, Oat, Coconut and Rice. Probably even more! The majority of these milks are enriched with added calcium and vitamins. It is also very easy to make your own plant milks.
Some of the brands that do delicious vegan milks are:
Koko Dairy Free
Oatly
Alpro
Provamel
Dream
Rude Health
Good Hemp
Rebel Kitchen
Plamil
Almond Breeze
Silk
Vive Soy
So Delicious
Trader Joes
Califia Farms
Supermarket own brand
It's okay to prefer different plant milks for different things. I, personally, like soya milk in my cups of tea, coconut milk on my cereal and almond milk in my porridge. Plus to help you find the exact taste you like, a lot of these milks also have sweetened and unsweetened versions! Don't even get me started on chocolate milk and vanilla flavoured milks. Drool!
If you can think of anymore vegan milks or vegan milk brands, drop me an email and i'll get them added to this post!
